3 Modify Canvas description doesn't make the sifz file dirty - ID: 1924592

Details:

Using svn 1918

Go to caret menu, Edit Properties and change the description, don't mark
the file as modified. Close the dialog window and the changes are set but
the file still clean (not dirty). You can close and no ask to save is pop
up.

Setting the canvas' description isn't an action, and so doesn't count as making the canvas dirty. In synfig-studio/trunk/src/synfigapp/canvasinterface.cpp, CanvasInterface::set_name(), CanvasInterface::set_description(), and CanvasInterface::set_id() all say: "\todo This needs to be converted into an action".
