The behaviour of the dcraw module cannot be configured at the moment
without editing the source. I suggest adding configurability in two
steps:
1. At the moment of writing the module uses dcraw with parameters '-a'
(automatic white balance) and '-q 0' (worst quality). The first is a bad
default --- dcraw itself doesn't use it by default. There is an earlier
feature request asking for it to be changed to -w (camera wb):
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1449381&group_id=7
130&atid=357130
The second may be a good default for speed issues, but certainly not what
many users would want.
This can be helped by adding possibility to edit the command line in
package options, preferrably by some kind of dialog boxes.
2. Of course it would be very nice to be able to tweak conversion options
for single pictures -- after all, that's what raw conversion is all about.
This could either be part of the Modify Photo tab or have an own Dcraw tab,
whichever is easier to implement.
One possible layout for configuration (containing all options I would find
useful):

This file can, of course, be freely used.
