We need duration that is shorter and longer than normal. We have temporally extended, but the def suggests only that it ends later than normal. Similarly, we have premature, which is a duration which starts earlier.
increased duration: A duration which is longer.
decreased duration: A duration which is shorter.
So, while we'd like to put in some structure here, but the existing terms refer only to the start or end times of the duration, not the total length of the duration.
See the similar terms for growth, such as predisplaced growth, etc. A similar structure could be created, but might not be all that useful.
Also, some of the duration terms have been discussed before in
[ 1749192 ] duration (PATO:0001309) and its children
Does anyone know what a duration of temperature means?
