DivFix++

Tracker: Bugs

2 Execution crash - ID: 1874586
Last Update: Settings changed ( erdem_ua )

I have downloaded this file (from rapidshare):
http://www.tarados.es/index.php?topic=2426.msg17931

I have uncompresed it with 7zip. The result file is exactly 440.363.008
bytes.

I have K-Lite Codec Pack 2.53 Standard installed. When playing with Media
player classic that comes with it, it returns the typical error: "Media
Player Classic has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

Rebuilding or stripping index with DivFix++ doesn't fix the problem, and
checking for errors return the error:
"DivFix++ for windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience."

faded away.

Thanks for your good work!

As I suspected, this is a compiler error. No code change made about this
problem. Recompiling v0.30 code with (I think new) MinGW and it fades away.

About I have a 2Gb damaged AVI...
You needed to open a new bug report.
Generaly DivFix++ build for Divx files contained in AVI files. Program can
also support multiple avi files. I don't hear TSCC codec. But If you could
sent file to me, than I can debug what is wrong. Thanks.

I have a 2Gb damaged AVI (I can read about 75% of this file). After
writing "Four CC is: TSCC" your program crashes:

AppName: divfix++.exe AppVer:0.29.1.9 Modname divfix++.exe
ModVer: 0.29.1.0 Offset: 0000c06a

Sorry erdem_ua, but I neither have much time. If it isn't a very important
error, it can wait some time.
Bye.
Jesus.

I try this with win32 version of DivFix++ and it gives error as you say. I
didn't expect this result. Same code of program works under linux. I
haven't much time for debug program in win32 version now. I only compile
program for windows. This is probably compiler error. If you can, you could
recompile program using new Mingw or Visual Studio compiler. It might solve
this strange behaviour. Also, this bug might be vanish in next version. If
I will find time later, I might look after problem for windows...

Thank you for feedback. Best regards.

File size is exactly same and MD5 of file is:
5eedb8d1b622544471258df96eda8f61

I don't test that in windows but I am sure it's player fault. If DivFix++
gives error on my test, than that is compiler fault and there is nothing to
do because linux version is working... I will try to test that file with
windows version soon.

Hi!

Did you check the bug with the windows version? Please check also that the
file size is exactly 440.363.008
bytes, because maybe I downloaded it wrong.

Media Player Classic closes down because the file is corrupted, but I
think DivFix++ should be able to manage bad files.

I test this file with Linux version of DivFix++ but I cannot found such
problem. I will test it with Win version but I don't think its program
fault.

Unfortunately I have no rapidshare account. It takes some time to download
this files. After I try to verify this behavior as bug or not. I am
suspecting from your computer because "Media Player" closed down with same
error.
