Megatron should have the ability to import into the archive db already
present music on local machine by reading tag information already contained
in tracks. If tracks lack complete information, populate temporary table
with them and present correctional opportunity through web interface (and
log occurrences). When updating track fields in correctional pages for
misspellings, punctuation, etc, send query through local database first
(long run feature: do this with AJAX). If the query returns nothing
locally, forward the query to other megatrons to see if results come up
remotely. Of course, the user could just google the information they need,
but the more that can be done through megatron the better/faster.
Once tracks either corrected or fully read, move them into the stax
directory and set up database tables accordingly.
An alternative thought to this process is to generate a .kwur file in local
directories of music and then use the import module to bring it into the
database assuming the .kwur file generates properly. This approach assumes
already ripped music is organized by album, which may not always be the
case, although it adds continuity to filesystem that is already in place by
making new music and old music look the same from a filesystem standpoint.
