5 ftpfs: memory allocation failed - ID: 1823937
Last Update: Comment added ( passe )

Hi! Thanks for great software!
But I sometimes get error:
ftpfs: memory allocation failed.
I have 512M RAM and 11G swap (yes, more than 11G total memory). Mounting
remote ftp directory works, codepage conversions also works, but when i try
to upload big file (i my case - 1034M) i get this error. Also, if i try to
upload 1393M file, process stopped when about 73% of file is copy in
memory.
I use Debian testing with curlftpfs 0.9.1-1

Hi,

Same problem here. I'm using curlftpfs 0.9.1-3+b2 on debian testing. I
suppose this is a curl related problem which is libcurl3 7.18.1-1 for me.

When trying to upload a large file, curlftpfs consume 60% of my memory and
hangs after several minutes with "ftpfs: memory allocation failed".

I also tryied with the kernel_cache fuse option, no more luck...

Did you found a way to solve that issue ?

Alexandre Ahmim-Richard.
