If Notepad++ crashed or terminated by TaskManager, the Recent File
Histories are lost, and "Settings-->Preferences...-->Misc-->History File
Setting-->Max Number History File becomes" to 0

Date: 2009-05-28 01:03 Sender: terencehill This bug is still present in Np++ 5.4. And I confirm, it's annoying as hell.
Date: 2009-01-05 02:14 Sender: janschejbal Reprocucing this is not easy, it happens at least sometimes when NPP crashes no matter why it crashed. I can confim this VERY annoying behaviour. I think my crashes were caused somewhere in the PHP parsing, but don't think it is relevant to this bug. I got this bug on 5.1.1. Please have a look if you find something in the code that sets the max number or might corrupt the XML. Please give this a bigger priority, as it is a data loss bug! Sorry for not being able to pinpoint it. My guess is that the settings get saved only half-way (or the recovery/emergency saving messes up). It is currently one of the most annoying bugs in NPP to me. Jan
