Gutenprint - Top Quality Printer Drivers

IT WORKS !

After a long work with rlk and other sources, i used the Epson Stylus D68
- CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.1 on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

I works great.

Well, it doesn't work.
Any idea?
Do you need some kind of log, or another info that i can provide to help

The 4400 driver in Gutenprint is identical to the 3800 driver.

The CX3800 driver doesn't work.
I sent a test page and the printer did a ugly noise and then turn off.
This is the cups detail (in spanish):

According to the avasys driver, the CX4400 driver will work fine with the
CX5600 printer. There's any change to include the CX4400 driver soon? (this
week? ;) )

Oops. My error -- that hasn't been backported to 5.0 yet.

Please try the CX3800 driver.

I've downlodaded gutenprint-5.0.1.tar.bz2 but there's not a cx4400
driver.

I've uninstall cups + gutenprint + foomatic + ijs. Then i've installed
cups and compiled and installed gutenprint. Then i've restart cups and try
to install the printer, but the driver for epson stylus cx4400 isn't in the
list.

That's a rather old release -- please download the latest (5.0.1) from our
download page (you'll need to compile it from source).

The CX4400 driver isn't available for ubuntu 7.04.
I've made a screen capture of available drivers, but the CX4400 isn't
there (there's no link to submit a file!).

I've working on the avasys cx4400 driver, but i couldn't make it work. The
only thing that i was able to get working was the ink cartridge level
indicator.
I'm planning to post my job on ubuntu-es.

Please tell me if you know an easier way to make it printer work.

Please also try the CX4400 driver.

Please change the summary to 'Epson Stylus CX5600'
