5 Run as does nothing - ID: 1737255
Last Update: Comment added ( jlpoole )

I have installed everything and created my first XUL project. It created
the barebones directory structure and "Hello World" sample files as
expected. I also installed (unzipped) ZULRunner and added its path to the
OrangeVoltXUL/XULRunner preferences location. However, when I try to run
TestXUL/chrome/content/TestXUL.xul the console only gives this:
<terminated> TestXUL [XUL Application] TestXUL
directly under the tab with no output in the window itself.

What is the problem? Why won't the application run or even give an error
message?

My comments below are from Windows XP only.

I don't know why, but if you alter the application.ini file by changing
the line:
Name=TextOrangeVolt
to something with a space following the original and then some more
letters, for example:
Name=TextOrangeVolt GarbageCharacters_make_this_work

the application runs.

(This is using XUL Runner 1.8.1.3)

Also, if you create a new application with capital letters, e.g.
"TestBlueText", you'll have the
same problem, whereas if you try "testmauvetext", that should work.
