5 Ajax for frequently change status page - ID: 1688761
Last Update: Comment added ( cyberkoa )

There is a request for Ajax interface previously but is on the page showing
rules.

My request is a bit different, where my request is only focus on some
frequently changed status page.

For example, the connection status page.

I found this is helpful when I was troubleshooting a connection problem
where I need to click Refresh button many times in order to get the page
show the latest connection.

Although manually refresh can work well ,I think this is where Ajax is
really applicable and worth the effort.

Hi esjatharvee,
Thanks for your reply. I am not sure how detail the prototype is
required. I try my best to describe in text .

For example, one of the page that I request the feature for , is at the
Web Interface, under Status > Connection

Currently, the connection are shown in a static format .

My request is to use AJAX , to show the connection page , so that the page
will auto refresh(at background using AJAX) to show the latest connection
status.

Hi owes,
Frankly say, I do not hear about iptstate before. I have tried that
today and it seems quite good.
Thanks for your recommendation.

Since the iptstate can do what I have requested, the Ajax request I think
is not so significant anymore.

Maybe can put it as an enhancement for those who like Web Interface.

Do you know that there is a iptstate console tool ?
With that you can track connections almost in real-time.

a prototype showing us what you would like in terms of features and
usability would be helpful. Could you generate such a prototype?
