Tracker: Bugs

5 Neither the NSEconomy Site Nor the Code Works. It's D.O.A. - ID: 1681753
Last Update: Comment added ( nobody )

As everyone knows, the http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/ website is as dead
as a doornail. I tried downloading the code off of here, installed it and
created the SQL tables on my web server, and....the code is dead, too. It
simply doesn't work.

The NationStates XML feeds work fine by the way:

http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/nationdata.cgi/nation=YourNation
http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/regiondata.cgi/region=YourRegion

(Just replace "YourNation" and "YourRegion" with your nation and region
names)

So therefore the problem most likely lies with the code.

So is the only alternative NSDossier?
http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/main.aspx

It says it runs on NSEconomy code

"NSeconomy formulas based on original code from NSEconomy 0.7.0 by
Commerce Heights
NSDossier version: 1.0.4.13
NSDossiers provided by The Great Region of Texas"

The code will not (and cannot) work on a server with allow_url_fopen
disabled in php.ini, which my web host has chosen to do.
