5 Conditional snipe - ID: 1667799
Last Update: Comment added ( bugmagnet )

It could be usefull to have the possibily of a conditional multisnipe: i'm
interesated in object A, but to optimize shipping cost if i win object A i
would also snipe on object B and C; if i lose auction A then i want to
cancel both snipe on B and C. I know this could work only if auction A ends
before auction B and C... but it would be a start !
In principle is similar to the multisnipe but the logic is reversed.

thanks

great minds think alike, and you just a little faster :)

I was just going to suggest this contingency snipe, with some enhancement

IF A is lost THEN for B cancel/reset snipe $___
IF A is won at $A, THEN for B: cancel/reset snipe to $___ or $AB-$A
[where $AB is max for both]

For 3 related items:
IF A is lost THEN for B cancel/reset snipe $___
IF A and B are lost, then for C cancel/reset snipe $___
IF A lost and B is won at $B, then for C cancel/reset snipe $___ with C
set to min $___ and/or max $___ or dynamic max set to $BC-$B
IF A is won at $A, and B is lost: for C cancel/reset snipe to $___ or
$AC-$A
IF A is won at $A, and B is won at $B: for C cancel/reset snipe to $___
with C set to min $___ and/or max $___ or dynamic max set to $ABC-$A-$B

not sure if all that boolean or formula is right, but you get the idea i
think.

Seems to be a popular idea

Gets my vote - partially successful multisnipe left me paying £7.00 P&P
on a £3.20 stick of DDR.
Thanks for JBW.

Hi,

I already posted the same request yesterday into the forum...I really,
really need this feature.

This happened to me just 5 minutes ago:
I bid on three LPs from Italy - shipping for 1-3 LPs was 9€.
I really wanted to have 2 of them - the third was only for optimization of
shipping per item ratio...I only won that stupid last one - leaving me off
with an LP for 16€ which I didn't really wanted to get :-(

That sucks SO much!

Please, please, please implement a "conditional bidding"-feature.

Thanks,
Truck Turner

I'd like to have this feature available as well. In principle, this can
be an extension to multi-snipe, or even a replacement of multiple-snipe.
One issue with multi-snipe is that a single price must be entered for all
auctions.

Instead, adding a condition to a snip may be interesting. Assume that all
snipes are set up individually. Then, add a condition to the snipe (either
positive or negative). Perhaps allow multiple conditions. Perhaps extend
the condition (not just won or lost, but if the auction goes over a
particular price.

If general enough, this can be used for all sorts of purposes. Perhaps I
only want to bid on a lens if I've already won the camera that goes with
it. Or, perhaps there are two lenses, and I want to win either. However,
one comes with a case, so I'm willing to bid more for it.
