Java Pilot-DB

When I give the command

java -jar jpilot-db-1.3.15-ej.jar

The splash screen appears for a moment (much less than a second), and then
I get:

This is with a freshly-updated Debian testing distribution. libgcj7-0 is
version 4.1.1-20
