5 Right click and release on a Tab opens new tab - ID: 1612934
Last Update: Comment added ( baghira-style )

I'm KDE 3.5.5 from kde-redhat on FC6.

When right clicking on a tab in Konqueror and then releasing the button
immedietely, Konqueror opens a new tab without selecting which option I
want to choose. I must hold down the right button and release it at the
option that I want inorder to be able to select it. Because I've got
several "Works for me(s)" I tried styles other than Baghira. And indeed it
works fine in other styles. Making my style Baghira again, and the problem
reappears. This happens on a X86_64, i386 machine and a VMWare i386
installation.

Unfortunately this seems to have a side effect. I get pretty ugly frames
around popupmenus now. They are about 2 pixels wide, and don't seem to get
painted (they are mostly black, sometimes transparent and sometimes just
pixelgarbage). I tried to track it down, and I think it's caused by this
fix. Reverting to version 1.59 of baghira.cpp makes the frames go away.

Confirmed. Its now working. One problem, however, I had to copy the admin
folder from the latest taball release in order to compile. But after that,
all was well.

Thank you very much, I'm looking forward to seeing the next release.

One request. Please reconsider your decision about baghira for KDE 4.
Baghira is one of my great delights when working with my desktop.

Again thanks very much for your work.

maxima mea culpa - qt hates 0 frmaes on popup menus (as long as you don't
intend autotriggering) - fixed with latest cvs commit

Changing the code didn't work.

"No joy" shall mean "no luck", ie. it didn't work?
or just that changing the code was not enjoying you?

unfortunately, "it's not a bug, it's a feature"...
Qt3 triggers some actions depending on a style hint that says whether
you're "windows/motif/mac"
i chose "mac" as this was the only way to prevent toolbuttons from
shifting downright on press, but this has some unhappy side effects on the
popupmenu behaviour - what TT seems to believe this is mac like, maybe
system 7...
one is yours, another is that you cannot close menu popups by clicking the
menu twice.
if you compile yourself, search for "SH_GUIStyle" in style/baghira.cpp and
choose a setting (i.e. try uncommenting Windows and comment mac)
