Hi!
I've come across some problem with Mingetty and UTF-8. I use Gentoo (where
the last stable version is 1.07)...
It seems my system is well configured for UTF-8 as agetty works totally
right... but I don't get the good characters on the screen when I enter
bizarre ones such as french "é" (e accent aigu) and so on...
A discussion on the Gentoo forum
(http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-517538.html) pointed out
that mingetty seems to reset UTF-8 mode at some times... and that there
exists a suse fork or patched version that handles UTF-8 right...
So I was asking myself if you could check this out to fix UTF-8 behaviour
or give me more information about this.
