5 can't compile gtk-gnutella on debian etch - ID: 1598721

Details:

after reading the README.Debian and doing the command fakeroot debian/rules
binary i get the following error...

dh_testdir
make: dh_testdir: program was not found
make: *** [config-stamp] Error 127

ver. gtk-gnutella-0.96.3

i am using debian etch...
