5 Install doesn't, on Mac OS X 10.4.8 - ID: 1596052

Details:

hi, I tried to install PyPE at an iTerm window with
"sudo python setup.py install". Some of the files did
get install to /Library/Frameworks/Python... but not
pype.py or pype.py or the plugins folder or a bunch of
other things. Exact details by e-mail from stewart at
midwinter dot ca if you're interested.

Also, the install throws up a couple of warnings. here
they are:

If long-time users donated enough money for me to pick up an OSX machine, then I could fully support the platform, and not need to wait for platform specific bugs like the other one you posted. I know there must be such people out there, What else would cause the 500+ downloads of PyPE one week after a release?

Date: 2006-11-14 04:44 Sender: josiahcarlson Logged In: YES user_id=341410 Don't use 'python setup.py install'. Uncompress PyPE somewhere that you want to run it from. If that is /Library/Frameworks/Python/site-packages/pype, then uncompress it there. However, please understand that PyPE was not designed to be used as a library, as is the case for other modules/packages installed in site-packages. For future versions of PyPE, I have made the 'python setup.py install' command fail with a message telling the user to unzip it manually.
