5 [G2] XMP support - Vista-compatible tagging - ID: 1574576
Last Update: Settings changed ( ckdake )

Gallery would benefit substantially by the addition of
an improved tagging system. It is inevitable that the
Microsoft/Adobe XMP/EXIF-based tagging scheme is going
to become extemely popular if not standard.

I would love to see Gallery get a head start in rich
tag editing and searching using Vista-compatible tags
so that I can simply sync all metadata between Vista's
Photo Explorer and G2.

See this (and other nearby) post:

f-spot on Linux (probably the/going to be the leading Linux
photo management tool) is going the XMP route.
