5 formenc type doesn't work without register global variables - ID: 1547690
Last Update: Comment added ( sf-robot )

Hi,

Thanks for the squirrelmail product I use it regularly
and it is truly an awesome product.

However, my shell provider doesnt allow register
globals due to the security issues of allowing register
globals. So file attachment doesn't work, neither does
composing. and it just fails sliently and reloads the
compose box.

I have to edit src/compose.php and change the form
enctype to url-data or remove the enctype attribute
entirley.

Anyway you can detect the register globals off and
change the enctype automatically?

PHP version 4.1.2

Thanks

Warren Crossing

I suspect that your report is about very old SquirrelMail
1.2.6 distributed with Debian Woody. Please provide more
information about your issue or tracker will close.

Please explain 'formenc type' term and provide more
information about used SquirrelMail version.

If you use Debian Woody, update your SquirrelMail version.
SquirrelMail 1.2.9 and later versions should work with PHP
register_globals turned off.
