5 Base URL :80 with https - ID: 1460675
Last Update: Comment added ( kink )

squirrelmail 1.4.6
php-5.1.2
ibm http server 6.0 (2.0.47)
fedora core 5

Base URL detected as:
https://webmail.mydomain.nl:80/src

This should be port 443.
It gives problems with redirects e.q. after composing
an email.

I installed squirrelmail in /opt and didn't use the rpm
because of ibm ihs.

I've applied a bug fix to current devel and stable CVS that
allows one to configure the proto+hostname+port part of the
base uri (optionally), so situations like this where that
goes wrong can then be fixed by the administrator. I think
we cannot further improve our heuristic because some things
we just don't know.

SquirrelMail uses a heuristic to determine whether it's on
http or https and appearently this heuristic fails on your
server. There's work being done on creating a setting for that.

You can work around this issue by hard coding the correct
URL in functions/strings.php:get_location()

If you can debug your current setup and provide us with a
means to enhance the heuristic for your server that would be
even better :)
