Searched previous bug reports, there is a list of
these going back to the year 2000. Most marked closed
yet the problem is still present. (?)
Wife's school has email through squirrel mail.
Account has 7000k limit. When email received, usually
with attachments, that exceeds 3500K in size, attempt
to delete results in disk quota exceeded error and no
way to get rid of large email.
My guess, attempt to copy large email to trash before
deleting from inbox exceeds quota and stops process
with error.
Work around, change folder option for trash folder to
none and delete email. But there are a lot of people
that probably can't figure this out. Result, a lot of
big files out there that people want to get rid of but
they can't.
Better solution, when this occurs, rather than error
out, present dialog indicating large email size, can't
save to trash folder, option to delete without saving
to trash folder given. This will allow people with
this problem to still get rid of those big files.
Another suggestion, show size of email on inbox list.
Gives a heads up that the big emails are out there.
