Hi,
I am currently running the Gallery 2.1 RC1 and
enjoying it much. Keep up the great work.
The Reupload module is a much welcome addition. I can
see I was not the only one in wishing such a feature
to 're-add a photo' without needing to retype all
captions/etc.
One thing I immediately wished the Reupload module
offered though was the ability to revert to the
original photo that was overwritten. Since the
Reupload item is displayed in the same UI section as
the rotate/resize features, I sorta thought it might
be possible to click the 'save/restore original' item
like those capabilities, but tests quickly showed
that's not the case. If we could return to an
original, that'd be a great help.
I could then see this capability go a step further:
It would be very slick for the user to be able to
upload multiple revisions of an image for any given
caption entry. These revisions perhaps representing
different levels of editing/watermarking history done
by the user. The user can then pull up a thumbnail
index of those image revisions, and can set one of
the available versions as the 'currently displayed'
revision.
Could something like this be done?
