Gaim Battle.net Protocol Plugin

Tracker: Bugs

5 Commands - ID: 1367664
Last Update: Settings changed ( natureshadow )

the /me command, used in battle.net to emote a message
acts as a command for gaim in other chat types such as
AIM. the personw ith Gaim BNet sees the
***accountname emotes
message but the recipiant sees
/me message
because it is not a command over AIM.
the command shoudl not function in AIM for the person
with gaim BNet either.

at least for me using the latest version of gaim
bnet(windows version) /emote does not function as a command
outside of the actual blizzard games.

the problem was not with it bieng incorrectly displayed when
talking to a user on battlenet but on my end if i typed in
/me in any chat, not using the battle.net protocol, it would
appear to me i typed in ***calenfinke waves, when i really
typed /me waves, because /me is not a command outside of the
battle.net protocol this should not work on my end.
This example was with myself using gaim bnet to talk on
battlenet, the actual conversation was over my aol instant
messenger account with a user from aim, the /me command
should not have been a command on my end in this
conversation because it does not use bnet commands. they
should be seperate.

for example i saw:

***calenfinke waves

and my friend saw:

/me waves

her version is correct, mine is not.

On Battle.net, you can use /emote instead of /me. Does that
work around the problem?
