iTunes has a feature when adding a podcast to say "get
only the newest file" or "get all files", etc. I'd love
to expand on that with the "download order" and
"download limit" by adding a "skip" feature:
"skip the rest of the feed as soon as you see a file
we've already fetched"
- this would essentially be a "download only the newer
files" as we'd have already logged the other files
we've downloaded.
"download every file you see, even if you've already
logged it"
- this is a force-download option to redownload
something - cause maybe the filename is in the log but
I've deleted the downloaded file and want to fetch it again
"just download any files I don't already have" (which
is the current default behavior of the application)
- this will take into account the podcat feed as well
as your download log and which files exist on your disk
so that any 'missing' files will be downloaded
