7 Toolkit need to run on JDK 1.5.x - ID: 1331727

Details:

The current toolkit (1.1.x) has not been fully tested on
JDK 1.5.x. Some errors will happen in the Java XSL
parser. Many users are migrating to JDS 1.5.x and
come to problems when running the toolkit. So I think
this is an important feature request.

Date: 2006-02-07 05:25 Sender: imagiczhang Logged In: YES user_id=1151532 DITA-OT can't run on SUN jdk with Xalan because of the code generation bug. On IBM jdk and SUN JDK with saxon, the normal build can work.

I believe that this is because of the following bug in the default version of Xalan XSLTC that is used with Java 1.5: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3320 To get the default samples to work on my machine, I added the xalan.jar file from my Xalan install to my CLASSPATH. I am using Xalan 2.7 e.g. C:\xalan-j_2_7_0\xalan.jar
