5 server not started? - ID: 1298920

Details:

Hello, I'm trying to install your server on a Linux pc
and run a client from a windows pc. I'm following the
instructions on oxerp-1.0.0rc1-doc.pdf. I chose the
standard server option and then ran the oxerp-server.sh
script in order to start it. I then copied the client
directory to my Windows pc and ran the oxerp-client.bat
script, but it keeps claiming the server was not
started and asks to try again later. I supose the
server really isn't starting up correctly because lots
of error messages relating to Java start coming up both
when I startup Jboss and when I start up the oxerp
server. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

You started a jboss 4.0.3rc2 instance : run-log.txt ; this can not work because you miss in this instance the connection to the database. You don't need to launch an independent jboss. JBoss is embedded in oxerp-server. When you launch this one, the needed ports are in use by the jboss403. Stop jboss 403, restart oxerp-server ; everything should work like a charm. Let me know.
