5 Save does not work in gentoo - ID: 1234545
Last Update: Comment added ( j_ali )

Slashem 7E6F3 with GTK interface does not save in Gentoo.

Tracked it to a back exec in files.c. After looking at
the config.h file realize it was expecting gzip in
/usr/bin instead of /bin.

After creating a gzip link in /usr/bin and removing old
save files (with 0 size) it works fine.

Not sure if other distro have the same problem.

Thanks

Well, it is me who configured Slash'EM for all Gentoo users. :)

I'll contact Gentoo maintainers for this. There is nothing
that needs
fixing in Slash'EM.

But we don't provide a gentoo binary. Surely this is the
fault of whoever configured Slash'EM under gentoo for you?

(gzip is in different places for different linux
distributions, not to mention different UNIX distributions.)
