White image problem - ID: 1224922

I am using a Creative Webcam 3 with vid on FreeBSD,
and can only get a white image from the camera.
It seems like the light sesitivity is to high, since I
get ok images, when it is almost dark. If I use the
--small option, the image get a little darker, but it
is still not usable.
