BZFlag - Multiplayer 3D Tank Game

Tracker: Bugs

6 wrong behaviour on gcc-4.0 with -fstrict-aliasing or -O2 - ID: 1191085
Last Update: Comment added ( tpwch-tpc )

When compiling bzflag-2.0.2 on FC4 test2 or later
(development/Rawhide) which has gcc 4.0, shots are not
visible for other players (and they doin't get hit
either) and if you have GM, then lock another player
and shoot for a few times, you get kicked with
"Autokick: wrong end shots detected".

Find RPMs exhibiting the behaviour beneath:

Now over one year later, this bug has hit me too. I'm
currently running gentoo amd64 with bzflag 2.0.8 and gcc
4.1. Its the exact same problem as described above.

Further testing revealed that the problem results from code
not compiling correctly with "-fstrict-aliasing" or anything
>= "-O2".
