Description of export Feature similar to the ?set_offline=true feature
of G1:

I am looking for a feature that allows to export single G2 albums and
their sub-albums to a local directory while keeping the image
information like sort order, headlines and keeping the g2 look and
feel and navigation.

It should be possible to burn and distribute this export on a cd.

Right now, tools like wget recursively step down all the way to G2
root and retrieves all images in the gallery. The first implementation
step for the new feature would be a set_offline flag that forbids this
recursion - with this flag I am ready to test wget and later all the
other tools like curl or httrack.

another requested feature would be an export utility: export single
albums in a way that allows this directory to get imported in another
G2. When implementing the cd dowload feature, we should think
about this possibility as well.

In the process, an endless loop collects the non-desirable Action Items repeatedly in an endless loop. Bad. Had to interrupt that. The resulting website copy looks surprisingly well - the pictures are completely available and reachable locally (well - more than I wanted: I only wanted one sub-album. We will come to the sub-album tests later). The interactive links like "login, search, AddToCart, module:link to other directories, ViewCart, MemberList" point to - surprise - the original site. Obviously, what we need is a set_offline mode that eliminates these buttons and that forbids recursive gets of other directories.
