I would really like UTF-8 support other than that this
is so far the thing I was looking for though I'm used
to rxvt-unicode atm...

Is there any work being done on this... and btw I
really like your choice of C over c++.

Hopefully this may be out soon, but as I think it implies some major changes in the global data flow of mrxvt (I will arrange so that globally any encoding -- not only utf-8 -- will be improved), probably there will be some kind of a "beta" version first... With the same ctrl+shift entry of unicodes :) As for display just don't make it like mlterm... That has a TON of options for diff fonts and is a PITA to get working.
