Details:

Although the project page indicates there are dependencies for
gtkmm-2.4-dev, there are still code dependencies for
gtkmm2.0-dev as well.

Once installed the code built fine under Mepis.

I had to install the 2.0 libs as well, in order to compile.
Configure did not see the 2.4 libs.

Could you tell where you found those dependencies?

I don't have gtkmm2.0-dev installed and I can compile/run
apradar.
