TiLP - Ti Linking Program

5 Program Fils To Work Under AMD64 - ID: 1111823
Last Update: Comment added ( damicatz )

Since there are no recent 32-bit binaries, I attempted
to compile the program as 64-bit. Compiles fine and
loads however I cannot get it to talk to any calculators.

Tested and works with UDev. Most likely an error in
configuration with DevFS.

I'm using a black serial cable, one of the orginal types. It
could be something specific to serial, as SilverLink is USB
isn't it?

I won't have time to mess around with the back up the
computer and rehook the calculator up though until this
weekend. If it does indeed work I'll file another bug with
Gentoo Linux's Bug System
(http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=tilp) as tilp is
marked as not available for AMD64.

My Debian packager have an AMD64 machine. TiLP works
good with a SilverLink cable. Are you sure TiLP is compiled
and installed fine ?

My Debian packager and TiLP porter has an AMD64. I will ask
him to test it, too.

I tried running as both a normal user and root with similar
results. When I posted this bug report, I was using devfs
however I have since switched to udev, so I'll try again
this weekend and see if it exhibits the same problem with udev.

Did you try and run TiLP as root ?
