This is indeed needed....

I think the result of statistics should be able to be displayed as a
"dynamic album":
So my idea is, that you create a new album somewhere in your gallery and
instead of adding "static items" you add a "query item" which is showing
the result of statistics like: most viewed, user rating, newest items, most
viewed etc...

I assume the "query builder" should have options like sort asc/desc, limit
displayed items, limit by year, etc...

having comprehensive statistics on all photo views for a
given time period would be nice, including the ability to
establish some users as "no statistics" or "internal" for
admins and such.

I really agree with the rating request so that visitors
and rate images.
Image viewed stats must also be kept on images viewed in
slideshows and not only clicked on!

Please add this feature. the only thing stopping me from
upgrading to Gallery 2 is the static module!

Simply having the Latest added, most viewed and latest
commented back like in 1.5 will works. Though the weekly top
50 sound nice as well. This is basically the only thing
stopping me from upgrading!

Just added my vote for "latest comments" - this is vital for
day-to-day administration, as I get a fair amount of spam
and abuse comments, that I want to delete daily.

I'll probably be holding of migrating to G2 until there's
some way to do this...

(besides this G2.0.0 is really cool...)
