MySQL privilege checking fails on remote hosts - ID: 1066091

Privilege checking for the MySQL user seems to fail
when the MySQL server isn't localhost. For example:
SHOW GRANTS FOR `elaborate`@`mysql.sourceforge.net`
Perhaps we need new way of presenting the hostname, or
the check is simply impossible. For now, I have
disabled privilege checking on remote hosts.
