5 [G1] Custom Fields available on the image upload form. - ID: 1023353

Details:

I am interested in a way to be able to have the custom fields which
are defined in the gallery configuration (config.php) available to
the users at the time of the image upload.
When a user goes to upload their images via the form, instead of
only having the caption available to them, they would be able to fill
out all the custom fields as well.

It would save time and confusion as they would not have to go
back and edit every image to add the information to the custom
fields.

Is anyone familiar with how to do this in Gallery 1.4.4-pl2 ?

Date: 2007-09-20 22:04 Sender: jalberts This would be a MAJOR boon for my gallery. I require that all uploaded items be marked for usage as either "Personal Only" or "Personal and Commercial". Right now it's incredibly cumbersome for me and for users uploading to do this on a regular basis, the workflow is inefficient. Custom fields should be included with the regular editing section and not set apart as well. At the least, when a custom field is created, it could have an option to "Include on upload form", so that not every custom field would be there, if not needed.
Date: 2007-05-15 03:37 Sender: billhughes This was originally requested in 2004, and it's obvious from the forum that a lot of people are interested in it. Until you can set Custom Fields on upload, their value is marginal.
