5 Compile Binary to Mac OS X - ID: 754963
Last Update: Comment added ( gorbag )

Please compile a binary for Mac OS X. Mac OS X has had
grow adoption in the academic computer science
community (desktop software plus Unix, yay!) where
OpenCyc is apt to be most appreciated. Between the
inference engine being server based and OS X having BSD
underpinning, the port from Linux should be relatively
trivial.

I agree; I use OS X at home and at work (for AI projects). OS X is having
an
increasing adoption rate, in businesses. (I currently work for a Fortune
100
company). While we used to do our AI work under Linux, we have shifted
about
60% of that work to Mac OS X/LispWorks to take advantage of the
productivity
tools available under OS X, the performance of the machines, and the more
consistant approach to UI.

I would also be interested in seeing a port to Mac OS X, or a BSD flavor
of unix.
