5 Topic data lost when error occurs - ID: 652375
Last Update: Settings changed ( sits )

In the topic creation screen, if you type in a topic
description and then type something bogus in one of the
other fields, such as a non-existant pathname into the
"Topic text upload" field, and then hit submit, you
will get a page with an error explaining the problem.
This page also says to hit the back button and fix the
problem.

The problem is that when I go back, all the text I
entered previously is gone and I have to re-type
everything. It would be better if the error page gave
a link that returned to the topic page with all the
data still filled out. Alternatively, instead of
printing a seperate error page, the topic page should
just be reprinted, with an error message at the top.

This has been fixed in the 1.6.2 release. If there are bad
elements, the user will be redirected back to the create
topic screen, with error messages at the top of the page.

Thanks for your reports/suggestions.
