5 Link errors for i386-BSD 4.0? - ID: 410609
Last Update: Settings changed ( sds )

Hello, I've downloaded the i386-BSD-4.0 binary packages onto my webserver (uname confirmed
the OS, arch, and version). When I try to bootstrap, I get the following errors when gcc tries to
link lisp.run:

cannot find symbol __error (and many more missing symbols).

I tried moving lisp.a (where the missing symbols where being referenced) after the sig library, but
got no improvements. Any help/hints?

Sincerely,
Doug Auclair

That's life with binary packages: they may or may not work
for you;
it depends on details in the OS, linker, libraries etc. that
you often
don't see.

Still the source should compile out of the box on any Unix
system.
