5 win32: error on startup - ID: 3363168

when I start clisp 2.49 on windows xp x64 (v2003sp2), I get this error window (after the clisp window appears):
|||Windows - No Disk
|||Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 7c7df5f8 d4d83118 7c7df5f8 7c7df5f8
|||cancel/try again/continue
"try again" repeats the error window; both cancel and continue remove it; clisp then runs fine.
