Dungeon Crawl Reference

In my current game (MDPa on trunk in CDO), every time I butcher a corpse, the game prints "you start butchering the [whatever] corpse" followed by "you start memorising the spell" followed by the appropriate number of "you continue butchering the corpse" statements, and finally "you finish chopping the [whatever] corpse into pieces". Obviously, the spell memorisation line should not be displayed during this event.

Since noticing it (I don't usually read the butchering text, so the mistake just now caught my eye), it has happened with every corpse butchered. Screenshot attached.
