#2968 Don't require database rebuild to replace map files
Currently, whenever any of the map files change, I have to stop all games on CAO before I can move the new files into place in /var/lib/games/crawl/data/dat or what have you. This basically means I never update the map files. :) Would it be possible to make it so that these files could just be copied into place?
It's doable by doing the database rebuild in a temp file and then replacing the old version. Old crawl processes will keep using the old file until they end. Sadly, this would require hacks on Windows, but no one has multiple players there anyway.
