I think it should a good idea to insert a voice in the menu Tools to open a konsole (or a terminal) in the current file's working dir.
If my file is in /home/$USER/programming/projects, it could be opened as:
Example:
konsole --workdir=/home/$USER/programming/projects

PS: also a terminal emulator implemented in the GUI could be a good idea, but it requires more code, I think.
