5 Automated acid table update - ID: 2042100

Supply an optional PHP script to allow the system hosting BASE to update acid tables and remove or inhibit the users' browser from this task. The script would be scheduled by the BASE administrator from within the host system shell.

The benefits would be more timely BASE updates (especially after weekends & holidays) and improved user browser performance.

The perl modules for LWP need to be installed on your system to make this
work.

Thanks for responding. I can't get base_maintenance.pl to run successfully.

The base_maintenance.pl script does this. Except the part of preventing
the browser from updating the tables.
