5 pop3 fails for uncommon but valid username - ID: 1500259
Last Update: Tracker Item Submitted ( jappelbaum )

If I attempt to setup mixmaster to get mail from a mail
server with the following config it fails.

/etc/mixmaster/remailer/pop3.cfg has:
# user@example.org secretpassword
mixmaster@mixmaster.lostinthenoise.net@mail.lostinthenoise.net
MYAWESOMEPOP3PASSWORDWASHERE

The above is a valid login for user
'mixmaster@mixmaster.lostinthenoise.net' on server
mail.lostinthenoise.net.

The logs may report:
[2006-06-03 17:54:17] Notice: Can't connect to POP3
server
mixmaster.lostinthenoise.net@mail.lostinthenoise.net.

It appears that mixmaster can't handle username@host as
a username. This is a problem for people using vhosted
mail servers and so pop3 support is broken for such users.

I think perhaps it would be a good idea to change the
pop3.cfg file to use the format:
'username' 'mailserver:portnumber' 'secretpassword'
