5 Can't load external encoding - ID: 1104234
Last Update: Comment added ( pfaedit )

Hi,
I use FontForge version 20041231 on MS WinXP/Cygwin and
I can't load any extra encoding. I tried both unicode
and postsript encoding file. When I tried syntax I've
found in postscript files on internet (like
/encoding-name [
/glyph1
...
/glyph_n
] def
there wasn't error message, but encoding didn't change.
When I used syntax recomended in User's manual (like
/encoding-name {
/glyph1
....
/glyph_n
}
the message was "Bad encoding file".

Standard internal encodings work well.

Loading an encoding does not change the current encoding. It
changes the list of available encodings.

You must select a new encoding before it will change the font.
