Speedbar displays messages (using "message" function)
in dframe.el, like this:
(message "%S" e)
in three functions
dframe-handle-make-frame-visible
dframe-handle-iconify-frame
dframe-handle-delete-frame

When switching desktops, deleting/iconifying windows,
the text in mini-buffer is overlayed by this annoying
message.

I don't see a reason for this, but even if it's
necessary, this could be made optional. In any case,
this code is only in recent speedbar versions.
