Caret in block mode doesn't surround characters correctly

If caret is in block mode (General Options -> jEdit -
> Text Area -> Caret: block) it doesn't surround many
characters correctly, especially bold ones (e. g. a
bold "E")

Sorry if this is a dupe, but I have many bugs to post
and am too lazy to check them all for dupes
currently. :-)
