The FileChooser on Windows in 4.2 cannot find network
shares that are not mapped to E; or another drive
letter. In general, this does not present the illusion
that a Windows user would expect. Another problem is
that the Desktop is not at the top. It's just another
directory.

If it's not obvious to you how to fix this (or if it
isn't fixed already in 4.3), holler and I may have some
new material from my next book that would be helpful
for addressing this.

If the UNC path of a network share was typed into the path field of the VFS browser, the content of this share is listed like of any other folder. It's not very comfortable, but it works (jedit 4.2, 4.3). So, I'm not sure if this should be called a bug.

But I also think, that network shares should be listed - may be after a server name is typed in the path field. This does not work (WinXP, jEdit 4.3pre12).

    What's the behavior on NIXes?
