Hi,
I know this project is well and truly closed, it's just that it's such a useful app I need to raise this issue.
The timing is great except for one thing- when synced to midi clock, ztracker runs at 5/4 of the speed it should. Put simply, for every four beats the clock source plays, ztracker plays five. Is this a bug somewhere in the midi song position pointer code? I'm not sending song...

You should search "free install maker program" on
Google. You could make an install program for Z-
Tracker so we don't have to unzip the zip file.

I just recently discovered ZT and love it.
It's so lightweight, yet has all the features I need (so far at least). I used ScreamTracker3 a long time ago, then moved away from computer-based music to midi hardware, using an RM1X as my sequencer.
I found ZTracker by accident, but what luck! I think this is really what I wanted all along... the sound quality and hands-on fun of hardware...

zTracker is nice and all, but since development stalled, I have been using Renoise. I'll recommend it - especially if you come from a fasttracker-background.

Well it appears that the author is MIA, probably busy with real life. But I would just like to say, that I use this software a lot. I am a studio hobbyist and have always loved trackers.
Long live ztracker.

Make sure you have selected a MIDI Out Device!
Go to "System Configuration" (F12) and activate an item in the
appropriate Device Selection ListBox. There should be at least "MS GS
Wavetable SW Synth". Afterwards if nothing goes wrong you can assign a
device to an instrument (F3).

Hi, I'm using Zt 0.981, I dunno if this is a bug, but when I export to MIDI, the MIDI file doesn't change the Tempo or TBP (effects A0000 and T0000), for example if I start my song with A0002 and T0060 and later I want to change the tempo on the song to T0064, after exporting to the MIDI file, this doesn't happen.
Please help!
Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Thanks a lot.

Actually this feature "sort of" exists. I had been fiddling
with the idea secretly and it does exist. It's mighty buggy,
though, and never made it to prime time. The last version of
ZT which has not been updated in years, has this early bit
of eyecandy, press PageDown or PageUp when in the F5 menu :-)
enjoy.
